How are your offerings promoting sustainability?
Our soaps are made with all vegetable oils and butters, and only natural botanical additives for color and texture.
How does your business reduce its operational impact?We produce almost zero waste material. All soap ingredients are used up in soapmaking, and all leftover packaging, etc. is either re-used or recycled. We also purchase as many supplies as possible from local vendors to lessen the amount of energy consumed by transportation. And we sell refill bottles for our liquid soaps to reduce container waste.
What plans do you have for becoming more sustainable?In 2010 we will be switching to new packaging for our bar soaps that is fully bio-degradable.
