Mountains of the Moon creates clothing with the conscious consumer in mind - those of us who care about the environment and fair labor practices who also want to look good in what we wear.  From start to finish, our garments are designed, patterned, manufactured, dyed (using low impact dyes), and tagged (using eco-friendly materials)   in the USA in small, 100% sweatshop-free facilities that are family owned and operated.     We also choose to use   only sustainable fabrics like organic cotton and hemp     that are elegant and highest quality.      We also opt to create designs that are fashion-forward but also timeless for the same reason: Designs that are chic but that can also be worn for multiple seasons and that surpass short-lived fads and trends are less likely to end up in landfills..

Mountains of the Moon produces and operates locally, and uses only re-used and recycle shipping materials when orders are shipped.  We also create new uses for materials that are usally discarded, such as making our hang tags out of recycled cardstock and left over-fabric, turning them into reusable bookmarks for the buyer.
