Well, some of them show up on the map, but not on the list....yes, there is life south of I-80, folks. Park Forest has one of the best (and oldest) farmer's market's...every saturday through october, 7 a.m. to noon or so...it's the kind with real (and organic) produce, not just a bunch of crafts and avon products (though there is a bit of that too.) Best offering: fabulous bunches of gladiolus, in every color (even green and two-tone varieties)...at the height of the season there are literally 30 or more colors to choose from. lot's of nice native illinois perennial plant dealers too, and some great eat-it-there or t'go food too (designer tamales and comfort bbq / porkchop sandwiches and the like). there's one amish vender, as well. the bread and fancy cheese people are there usually too (though they tend to miss a sat if there's a big fest). crete, il, also has one on saturday. that's bit further south. there is also one on thursdays in the parking lot at governer's state university..it's not on the map... (off cicero before you get to monee...it's technically university park)...
this site needs a bit of south suburban updating.
Map does not match list -- leaves out PF and so. burbs.
