What is A Fresh Squeeze?

A Fresh Squeeze sends out two emails every week with information on living green in Seattle. Our emails offer short interesting tips on events, businesses, non-profit groups and simple activities that can help Seattleites live a little greener. Subscribing to our email list is free, so sign up today!


How can I become a subscriber?

Why do you send out an email twice a week?

Right now, we're focused on finding the best information we can on green living. If our subscribers enjoy our articles and ask for more, we may send them out more frequently. To start though, we want to concentrate on quality not quantity.


Are you a not-for-profit?

No, A Fresh Squeeze is a for-profit enterprise. We respect the not-for-profit groups that are working to promote sustainability, and we plan on profiling them from time to time. However, we believe that businesses can be both successful and responsible. And that's what we hope to do.


How do you guys make money?

A Fresh Squeeze wants to make it easier for anyone in Seattle to live green. So instead of charging a subscription fee, we've decided to include ad space in our emails and on our website. However, we have a strict editorial policy which guarantees that our advertisers will NEVER influence A Fresh Squeeze content.


Do people pay to be mentioned in your articles?

No. This is a huge part of our editorial policy. The information and opinions provided in A Fresh Squeeze articles are the result of our research and experience. No one can pay to be mentioned or featured in any of our content. From time to time, we will send out an email profiling an advertiser's product or service, but we will clearly distinguish these Dedicated Emails from our articles.


I have an idea for an article. What should I do?

We love getting ideas from our subscribers. You can't pay us to write about something, but you can submit article ideas on our Contribute Ideas page.


Will A Fresh Squeeze send me spam? Or sell my information?

Absolutely not. The only emails we send you are our articles and the occasional Dedicated Email. We will not ever spam you or sell your information to a third party. For more information, please read our Privacy Policy.


What's a Dedicated Email?

A Dedicated Email is an email sent out to our subscribers on behalf of one of our advertisers. It usually features one of their products or services, but it is not a recommendation from the A Fresh Squeeze staff. We will always clearly distinguish a Dedicated Email from an A Fresh Squeeze article, and we will not provide any advertiser with your personal information.


How do I unsubscribe?

At the bottom of any email you receive from A Fresh Squeeze, there is a line that says "opt out using true remove." Click on the opt out link and you will be removed from the email list. Or you can visit our Unsubscribe page.
